1. OLD CITY WITH THE GOLDEN ROOF AND THE CITY TOWER
2.657 fire-gilded copper shingles cover the golden roof, the showpiece from the 800 year old city centre of Innsbruck. Emperor Maxilian I. let the beautiful bay window be built around 1500.
2. DOME OF ST. JACOB
The dome of St. Jacob, or the dome of Innsbruck, is the cathedral and diocesan town of Innsbruck.
3. IMPERIAL HOFBURG AND HOFGARTEN
A building from the Habsburgs. Highlight from the Hofburg is the guard room, the “Innere Appartement” which was later luxurious equipped by empress Elisabeth (Sissi) and first and foremost the Great Hall.
4. COURT CHURCH & FOLK ART MUSEUM

Tip: If you look from the St. Anna’s Colume to the north you see above the golden roof the mountaintops from the Nordkette.
6. HUNGERBURG – SEEGRUBE – HAFELEKAR AND ALPIN ZOO
The Nordkette with the Seegrube and the Hafelekar embodies Innsbruck’s unique combination of alpine nature experience and urban life. The cable cars from the Nordkettenbahnen take visitors directly from the old city to the ‘Hungerburg’ (860m), the ‘Seegrube’ (1.905m, most beautiful sun terrace from the city) and to the ‘Hafelekar’ (2.334m), summit experience and breathtaking views included!
7. PATSCHERKOFEL – CABLE CAR
From there you can walk on the Zirbenweg, which is a varied and popular hiking trail above the roofs of the city.
As an alternative you can reach on an hiking trail the summit and its mountain hut ‘Gipfelstube’.
8. CASTLE AMBRAS
Surrounded from the idylic castle garden, which is absolutely worth a walk, the castle is above Innsbruck.
9. BERIGSEL WITH SKI JUMP AND TIROL PANORAMA
The historic Bergisel, a hill harly 750 meters above Innsbruck, was the scene of several battles under Andrea Hofer in 1809.
Tirol Panorama, the 1.000 square meter 360-degree circular painting ist not only the biggest work of art in Tyrol but also takes it the visitors right into the middle of the dramatic event of the Tyrolean struggle for freedom.
10. SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL WORLDS
For its 100th anniversary in 1995 Swarovski let multimedia artist André Heller create the now internationally known Crystal Worlds in Wattens. This extraordinary place of imagination, art and joy of playing ranks second among the most visited sights in Austria.
